Trix Atelier is Mikael Colombu's independent art studio working with acrylics, ink, & paper currency.

Mikael Colombu is a mixed media artist whose work has circled the theatre of money, debt, and financial mythology since 2021. His entry into blockchain came through Old Money, a project whose own subtitle, A Premature Monument to Paper Currency, announces the territory he works in.
Before that, Colombu spent years in the advertising industry as an art director and in music as a filmmaker specialising in 2D animation (music videos for The Weeknd, Drake, CeeLo Green, and others). He knows how images are made to sell things. That knowledge runs through everything he makes.
Work is sold privately and through select galleries in the United States, France, and Belgium. The Atelier accepts a limited number of commissions each year, for collectors, for spaces, and for the occasional rare client who wants something that carries actual weight.
Finished paintings and works on paper from the current studio inventory. Each piece is documented, signed, sometimes stamped, and shipped insured anywhere in the world.
A small number of bespoke pieces taken on each year, site-specific paintings developed in close conversation with the collector or designer over several months.
Limited-edition giclée prints of selected paintings, made on cotton-rag paper in the studio. Signed, numbered, and released in small runs.
For commissions, available work, press, or just to say hello, write a short note and the atelier will reply within a few working days.
